If you've been looking for Canada Day events near Ottawa this year, you don't have to go far. Manotick is bringing it home.

After a few quiet years, the Manotick Village & Community Association is hosting a real Canada Day 2026 celebration — and it's shaping up to be one of the best nights the village has seen in a while.

The event takes place Wednesday, July 1st at Centennial Park at the Manotick Community Centre. It's a family-friendly evening with live music and activities for kids, ending with a drone and music show at approximately 9:30 PM.

Made possible by Manotick Home Hardware and Ottawa 200 — the city's bicentennial celebration — this is a fitting way to mark Canada's milestone year right here in one of Ottawa's most beloved heritage villages.

Bring your chairs. Bring the kids. Show up early and grab a good spot on the grass.
