Manotick doesn't have a huge patio scene, but what it has is genuinely good — and a lot of it comes with a river view you won't find anywhere else in south Ottawa.

Riverside Seating

A handful of spots in the village sit right along the Rideau River, which means dinner comes with a view of the water and the occasional passing boat. If you're picking a patio purely for the scenery, this is where to start — Creekside Bar & Grill sits right on the river, and our directory has the rest of the current riverside listings. Riverside patios made our list of reasons to love the Rideau River, too.

Main Street Patios

For a more classic village-patio feel, Manotick Main Street has a few cafés and restaurants with sidewalk seating — good for people-watching, easy parking, and a slower pace. Black Dog Bistro has one of the village's larger patios, and Li Li's Lounge and Patio Bar serves cocktails and small plates on its patio from May through October (our write-up).

Coffee Shop Patios

Not every patio needs to be dinner. Several of Manotick's cafés have outdoor seating that's perfect for a slow morning coffee or an afternoon work session in the sun. 692 Coffee and Bar keeps its patio going on Sunday afternoons through market season.

Tips for Patio Season

Weekends fill up fast, especially on nights with good weather — calling ahead or arriving early is never a bad idea. And since Manotick's patio spots tend to be seasonal, it's worth checking hours directly with the business before heading out, especially early or late in the season.
