Manotick is small enough that you'd think you know every business in the village — but there are a few spots that fly under the radar even for longtime locals. Here are five worth seeking out.
1. Ria's Sourdough Micro Bakery & Bouquets
A one-person micro bakery selling fresh sourdough, bagels, cookies and bouquets from a front-yard cart on McLean Crescent. It's cash only and self-serve, with hours posted on Facebook — and it sells out fast, so this is very much a "get there early" situation. We gave Ria's a full write-up here.
2. Everything Raw Doggie Café
Ottawa's only café built exclusively for dogs. It's a raw pet food business offering free delivery within 100km, tucked into the village on River Road — easy to miss if you don't have a dog, but a genuine local first for those who do.
3. Green Spirit
A crystal and spiritual shop on Main Street offering healing crystals, tarot and oracle cards, incense, candles and books. Not the kind of storefront every village has — worth a browse even if you're just curious.
4. Robin Lea Photography
A photography studio specializing in maternity, newborn and family sessions, tucked into a small studio space on Main Street. Easy to walk right past if you're not looking for it.
5. Rolling Rideau Auto Spa
A mobile detailing service that comes to you — home, office, or drop-off — rather than the other way around. With 20+ years of experience behind it, it's the kind of service business that's easy to not know exists until you need it.
